LOCATION
: The Colonial Coconut Hotel is situated
near the resort village of Grand Baie on the north coast
of Mauritius, in a coconut grove, twenty five minutes
(25 km) from Port Louis and sixty minutes (65 km) from
the airport. The hotel, having a pleasant environment,
is typically Mauritian in atmosphere with attention
to personal care and service. The colonial type architecture
and furniture give a good feel of the past history of
Mauritius. There is a fresh water pool and a small beach
facing Grand Baie and the islands of the north.
ACCOMMODATION
: The hotel's accomodation includes
4 rooms with double beds, 19 rooms with twin beds and
11 rooms with two beds and an extra bed all equipped
with telephone, bathroom with shower and WC, overhead
fan and a private terrace or balcony.
The restaurant
'La Varangue' borders the swimming pool, and serves
Mauritian, Oriental and French cuisine, and the "best
coffee on the island"! Once a week, the traditional
séga is performed for diners.
